Prometheus is a financial data terminal built on SEC filings, and this API serves the same data the terminal renders. What makes it different from other financial data APIs is traceability: every standardized financial line links back to the XBRL fact, the filing accession number, and the calculation tree it came from — and only data that has passed per-company validation gates is served at all.

Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow built from XBRL, annual and quarterly, with an as-originally-reported vintage on request.

Fact-level provenance

/fact-source returns the exact XBRL fact and filing behind any number — cite it.

Events & transcripts

Typed 8-K material events, earnings-call transcripts, and guidance commitments scored against what actually happened.

Macro, point-in-time

FRED/ALFRED-backed series where the value for a date is what was known on that date — no look-ahead.
